Some PMC provided, but additional PMC will need to be purchased at market prices. All tools for Intro class provided. This is an awesome experience! As of May 2006, I am a Certified PMC® Instructor.

Gourd Art: Learn how to prep, cut, color, engrave, and embellish your own unique gourd creation...perhaps a mask, vessel, jewelry, purse, lampshade, sculpture, etc. Lots of fun.

The class will choose from the following: various stencil, block, heat transfer, screen print and collagraphy (printing from a collage) techniques. Prints will be made on watercolor and other paper, card stock, and tee-shirts. Very fun with lots of art works produced in a short time! These make nice gifts, too.

Works In Wire: Artists will be introduced to the concepts of single line drawing in the works of Picasso and Calder before creating mixed media wire sculptures, mobiles/stabiles, boxes, and other functional pieces. Great fun especially for those who like to draw!

Mosaic (Pique Assiette) Creations: Fun for all ages ...Artists will learn how to cover a surface with "broken ceramic" and other materials to form creative mosaics. Flat and curved surface-covering principles will be introduced. To make your creations more personal, you are encouraged to bring your own "special" ceramic plates, cups, etc. to break for your mosaics (from damaged pieces, thrift stores, etc). See me for details or tips on how to make this class a possibility for young artists.

When dry, the form will be cut in half and each artist will creatively complete his/her own mask with pulp papier mâché , cardboard shapes, paint and other decoration. The creative masks can be animals, creatures, people, inspired by your favorite character or imagination! These are awesome!

Papier Mâché Boxes/Containers: Artists will design and construct creative containers/boxes with interesting shapes from papier mâché using several techniques. Fun finishes complete the project. These are stunning when finished.
